After you tap Request a visit

A button on a website can feel like a black box. You tap it, and then what? This Tech Tuesday post opens the box and walks through every step after you ask for a visit with Monarch Bay Chiropractic.

Step 1: You send a request

Use the form at monarchbaychiropractic.com/request-a-visit, or on our neuropathy or knee Discovery Visit pages. Prefer to call? The neuropathy program line is (949) 304-5777, the knee program line is (949) 401-2777, and our Dana Point front desk is (949) 661-9777.

Step 2: Our Patient Care Coordinator calls you

Our Patient Care Coordinator calls you back, usually within one business day.

Step 3: A short, friendly call

The call takes about 15 minutes. He'll ask what's going on and what you'd like to get back to, and he'll answer your questions. There's no pressure. If we're not the right fit, you'll get a straight answer.

Why start with a call? Your questions get answered before you ever set foot in the office, and it helps make sure a visit is the right next step for you.

Step 4: Your Discovery Visit

If it's a fit for the neuropathy or knee program, your first visit is a Discovery Visit with Dr. Scott Kirchner, D.C., at our Dana Point office. Plan on about 75 minutes. For chiropractic care, your first visit can be at our Dana Point or Mission Viejo office, and our Patient Care Coordinator will help you pick the right one.

Who you'll see. Dr. Scott Kirchner, D.C., has been in practice since 2015. He earned his Doctor of Chiropractic cum laude and has trained in California, the Netherlands and Germany.

Step 5: Getting ready

Where to find us. Monarch Bay Chiropractic, 32840 Pacific Coast Hwy, Suite L, Dana Point, CA 92629. We're in Monarch Bay Plaza at the end of Crown Valley Parkway at Pacific Coast Highway, near Salt Creek Grille and Gelson's. On the day of your visit, if you need help with parking or directions, call the front desk at (949) 661-9777.

What to bring:

  • a photo ID;
  • a list of everything you take each day, with doses;
  • any recent labs or imaging you'd like Dr. Scott Kirchner, D.C., to see;
  • the shoes you wear most;
  • your questions, written down so you don't forget them.

Bring someone. We highly encourage you to bring the person who helps you with your health decisions, such as a spouse, family member or close friend.

Our Discovery Visit guide has the full checklist. It takes about 3 minutes to read.

Step 6: Reminders, your way

If you said yes to texts or email, we'll send appointment reminders. You can reply STOP to any text to opt out. Need to change a time? Call the office.

A note on privacy: we keep health details out of our texts, and we ask you to do the same. For anything personal, call the office so we can help privately.

Who's taking new patients right now

  • Neuropathy program: open to new patients. The Discovery Visit includes a health history, gentle sensation and balance checks, a thermal image of your feet, and a plain-English explanation the same day, with an honest answer about whether the program is a good fit.
  • Knee osteoarthritis program: open to new patients. The Discovery Visit includes a hands-on knee exam, with results explained the same day.
  • General chiropractic (sports, back and neck, pregnancy and kids): open to new patients, with first visits at our Dana Point or Mission Viejo office.
